It’s not a new thing that those things that used to be science fictions are now happening in our lifetime. I am a great fan of driverless cars and the innovation behind really amazing. I’m astonished by the fact that these cars are getting smarter everyday and how they can perceive the environment in a human like manner.

I have been wondering if they will be able to solve some of the complex problems that an average driver faces everyday and require previous knowledge on how to fix basic breakdowns in a car such as overheating or Non-functioning battery.

I was wondering if a driverless car will be able to fix those minor faults. Michelin are still looking for a way to build an airless tire that can last forever which may take some times before we see such tires. Some few questions that comes to my mind if driverless cars need spare tires:

Can sharp objects penetrate the tires?

If a tire is deflated, will there be a sensor to keep the tires inflated before getting fixed?

Will it be able to replace the tires?

It’s only a matter of time before we see what happens maybe driverless cars will use airless tires or adapt to change deflated tires.
